About Us

Climate Change, related to the term global warming, is a change in global and regional weather patterns from the 20th century onwards, that has been largely attributed to increased levels of carbon dioxide and other gases produced by the use of fossil fuels. Various effects of climate change can be seen throughout the world. Examples are drought and rising temperatures in places such as India, melting polar ice, and rising sea levels in coastal areas. Climate change has effects on other various things such as public health, global economy and other various political issues such as immigration, and transport. The world will have to address these problems with various means such as policies and actions to reduce emissions, and various technological improvements such as solar and hydropower technology. Right Livelihood Initiative is working to identify innovative solutions in agriculture, health, energy, water and air because of climate change. Solutions are analyzed and linked to local communities to yield sizeable benefits to access livelihood opportunities without been displaced from their local region. In a technologically changing world this will help in creating a connected and sustainable ecosystem.
